Ebenezer Miller

• Emigration, 1841, Melbourne Victoria. Ebenezer Miller born 1817 Inverness Scotland one of 12 children whose father died aged 90. At age 23 residing at Roxboro Scotland,shepherd, protestant,unmarried he left Greenock Scotland in the" William Abrams" as an assisted migrant. Arrived Melbourne 26 July/1841.Employed by John Stewart Melbourne for 3 months @ 30pounds per year. He married in Victoria Jane McLaren from Edinburgh, they had 7 children, Maria the eldest married Thomas Castles at Kyneton. The 6th child Elizabeth Jane born 31 May 1853 at Carlsruhe, married David.H.Gilmour in 1881 and died at Malvern5dec 1942. Youngest daughter Jane Anne born 9 Feb 1856 died unmarried Warnambool 6 June 1954 age 98 (Auntie Jin) Ebenezer died in Kyneton in March 1901 age 84, Jane died March 1880

Ebenezer married Victoria Jane McLaren, daughter of Unknown and Unknown, in 1841 in Victoria Aust Cert 583. (Victoria Jane McLaren was born circa 1820 in Edinburgh, Scotland and died in Mar 1880 in Kyneton Victoria Age 60.)
